Across both London and the UK, people say the same things would help them volunteer or work in sport. These include more flexible time, clear information, training and support, informal opportunities, and seeing a positive impact in the community.
In London, the most common motivators are flexible time (29%), clear information (23%), and training or support (23%).
However, 30% of Londoners say nothing would encourage them to volunteer. Nationally, this is much higher at 61%.
This shows that while many people can be encouraged, a large group may need different approaches to spark interest.
