This research provides insights into the sustainability, ambitions and needs of grassroots groups across the UK. It is a longitudinal study of Sported members and raises awareness of the issues and opportunities they experience, as well as funding and resources. It provides useful information for stakeholders and decision-makers. Cost of living and funding are key issues faced, although there is resilience among community groups despite these challenges. There is advice from group leaders about getting young people active, and they feel the government can also play a part for example through making it easier to access funding opportunities. Sported are committed to work to support and send resources to those who need them the most.
