Sport, Physical Activity and LGBT

Little is known about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) involvement in workforce, coaching and volunteering, and there is inadequate encouragement for this group to participate in sport and activity. Therefore, Sport England commissioned Pride Sports to undertake a 10 week study examining the levels of participation of LGBT people in sport. The report looks into barriers to participation and the impact of current successful projects, focusing on initiatives aimed at improving participation, volunteering and spectating.
