This report  presents statistics on walking and cycling in England for 2016, including the proportion of adults participating at a local authority level. Key findings were that people are walking less often but cycling further compared to ten years ago. Also, two fifths of adults walk for travel at least once a week and one in eight adults cycle for any purpose at least once a week.
