This report presents results from the 2013 Sports Club Survey of more than 100 different sports to provide insight into the health of the UK's grassroots community clubs. Key findings include:

- From 2010-2012 there was a 67% increase in the average club's surplus to £1,825.

- The average club had 114 adult members, an increase of 21% since 2011.

- 58% of the UK's sports clubs were working with schools, with nine in ten school club links reported as successful.

- Adults memberships have increased by 21% since 2011, only 13% of clubs had a sustained membership increase following 2012. 

- 21% of club own facilities, 38% hire from local authorities.

- 49% of clubs want to improve their facilities and 47% see increasing facility costs as upcoming challenges.

- 35% of clubs have access to appropriate equipment for disabled and non-disabled people to participate.

- Sport has more volunteers than any other sector, since 2011 the number of volunteers has increased by 20%, with the average club having 24 volunteers.
