Every year Girlguiding ask over 2,000 girls and young women how they feel about their everyday lives.

What they say, on the pressures they face and the issues they care about, forms the Girl’s Attitudes Survey. Girls and young women face persistent and unfair barriers to being happy and confident and they want to speak up on the decisions that affect their lives - especially in these extraordinary times.

In relation to sport, Girlguiding found that girls and young women enjoy taking part in sport and physical activity. However, sexist comments, unwanted attention and a lack of equal choices and representation have contributed to barriers that make it hard for them to feel safe and enjoy themselves.
