On behalf of Southwark Council, London Sport provided an brief analysis of Sport England’s Active People Survey 9 results at a local borough level. The report covered participation rates and trends at borough level, including demographic analysis and cross borough comparison with Southwark’s nearest neighbours. The reports findings highlighted areas of strength and areas of opportunity. As a result of this work, London Sport is currently working with Southwark to inform a large-scale women and girls physical activity and sport project.
Working with British Cycling and Transport for London (TfL), London Sport undertook to develop a Cycle Activity mapping tool to support borough cycling and active travel development teams as well as cycling providers to plan and co-ordinate practical delivery of cycling-related work in the context of a more comprehensive suite of information.
This was delivered through the mapping of key transport and sport-related cycling initiatives across London with the aim of facilitating collaboration, networking and resource sharing across the sport and transport sectors.
As part of Sport England’s ‘This Girl Can’ campaign, London Sport undertook an analysis of female physical activity and sport participation across London.
