From January 2015 to December 2017 Tesco delivered a ground-breaking partnership which resulted in over £25 million being raised. Their Let's Do This campaign reached 35.4 million people and inspired around 1.1 million UK adults to take some form of action to improve their lifestyle. Furthermore, their local and online programmes engaged 1.2 million people, right across the UK, and led to statistically significant behaviour change. Both independent and internal evaluations of our programmes suggest these changes will last well beyond the lifetime of the Partnership.

Wider highlights from the Partnership include:
• Funding nine medical research projects, so far
• Supporting a programme for young people newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes
• Supporting a Tesco led campaign such as customer and colleague health events.

For the Partnership as a whole, the legacy will continue as Diabetes UK, the BHF and Tesco continue to work in partnership. They have now also embedded Cancer Research UK into their long-term commitment to help people move more and eat better through the 'Little Helps to Healthier Living' partnership. The model has evolved but the opportunity to build on what has been done before is clear.
