Following the Sport and Recreation Alliance survey of community and grassroots sports clubs, the EFDS have produced a more detailed report focusing on the findings which impact disabled people. It is hoped that better understanding of club provision for disabled participants will lead to more extensive provision. Key findings include:

- One third of clubs have no provision for disabled people.

- Although clubs believe they need specialised equipment to allow disabled participation, simple adaptations to existing equipment is usually sufficient.

- Only 8% of club staff or volunteers have received training in adapting their sport for disabled people.

- One in three sports clubs have links with organisations who could support them with disabled members.
