The Physical Activity Statistics 2015 publication highlights the importance of physical activity in cardiovascular health. The data shows that there has been very little change in the proportion of individuals reaching the recommended physical activity levels and recent figures still highlight the differences found between sexes and across ages. Additionally, the data suggests that sedentary behaviour, that in which energy expenditure is very low, remains extremely high amongst UK residents. This document would be extremely useful for those looking to evidence the link between levels of physical activity and cardiovasuclar health and physical health in general.
