Every person with a visual impairment (VI) has the right to participate in physical activity, despite the barriers that VI imposes. This resource is useful for any individual or organisation delivering physical activity for support, ideas and guidance on how to include people with VI.

The document will help the reader to understand sight loss and eye conditions, understand and apply knowledge to meet the needs of people with VI, use basic communication skills to support individuals with VI and provides information to access further support to ensure groups are fully accessible and inclusive.

A range of resources for specific sports (athletics, archery and shooting, equestrian, football, judo and swimming) have also been created. These provide more specific guidance and address sport specific barriers.
